AutoCAD Electrical 2007

The new release of AutoCAD 2007 offers many possibilities in creating both 2D drawings and 3D AutoCAD models. Although the AutoCAD 2007 release primarily focuses on 3D improvements and new 3D commands, many 2D features have been added as well (see below).

If your draw mostly in 3D, this latest Autodesk version will allow you to create 3D objects with more control than ever before. AutoCAD 2007 enhances drawing productivity and gives you greater control in your 3D model or drawing.

3D AutoCAD enhancements in AutoCAD 2007

AutoCAD 2007 introduces a whole new rendering engine and loads of new materials. Also included in the 2007 release are many new 3D commands, easier 3D object creation and new methods of navigation.

A new 3d AutoCAD Dashboard is included in this latest release so you can easily access commands and drawing settings. Note that many more tools within the Dashboards palette can be revealed by clicking the double-down arrow within the menu.

Below are a few highlights of the new Autodesk release:

• New 3D Workspace environment
• New render engine, materials, lights & cameras
• Interactive 3D shapes (real-time drag and draw)
• Sub-object editing (face, edge, vertex & boolean history)
• Grip-edit nodes for 3D AutoCAD objects
• Dynamic UCS or DUCS (temporarily switch to 3d face)
• Extrude objects (convert any 2D object into a surface)
• Enhanced visual objects
• Polysolid object (3d solid relative of a polyline)
• New SWEEP command (extrude along a path)
• New LOFT command (enhanced curved shapes)
• New PRESSPULL command (isolates regions to punch or extrude out)
• New SURFACE command (From slice command)
• New LATSHOT command (convert a 3D AutoCAD drawing to 2D)
• Improved SLICE (slice objects with Surface Mesh)
• New objects pyramid and helix added
• Improved 3D Orbit has a walk though mode (record animation to file)
• Now Save views using the CAMERA command
